London, June 23 (ANI): Like most of his teammates Joleon Lescott too has his body inked to symbolise love for his sons and some inscription which speaks out his mind.
He has guardian angel on his right shoulder, the name of four-year-old son Clayton on his right arm and the name of eight-year-old Donovan on his left arm.
There's a red rose on his chest plus the inscription: "Don't listen to anyone who has known me because to have known me would mean there is a new me."
On his stomach a scroll reads: "If somebody dies every time somebody is born, I give my thanks to the men who gave their lives for the life of my sons."
One tattoo on his torso reads "respect all" and another says "fear none".
On his left shoulder is another angel with the words: "I will die before I lose because I was born to win."
"Lescott - who was in a car accident as a five-year-old - has been through a lot in his life and the guardian angels are all about repelling attack," the Daily Star quoted body language expert Judi James as saying.
"Children's names are a favourite. This is about being perceived as a man who puts family first but subconsciously includes his football family, the fans.
"The rose shows he is a big-hearted type," she added. (ANI)
