Whilst it seems common amongst females, a makeover is something every man secretly wishes for. It is just that they don’t want to broadcast it.
You might be shy of flaunting those new guy-liners you recently bought, but you know it will only make you look better than you are on an average day. Yes, what matters THE most is how you carry it off.
Here are 10 tips for men looking for a makeover and don’t know where to start from:
1. Starting Off
Clean and trimmed nails, glossily polished shoes, neatly ironed trousers, a mannish watch do more than any other sort of a makeover would do for you.
Washing your face every day with soap doesn’t keep your skin as healthy as you want it to. You must start exfoliating your skin. Exfoliating agents serve the purpose better than any soap could.
3. Tinted moisturizers
You can apply this on your face after you shave as it adds a tinge or a tan to your skin.
This shouldn’t be a hard one, unless you start whining about how busy you are. Try waking up early and knock at the doors of the nearest gym around. A few days of warm-up and then you might start liking the whole exercise.
Whosoever said wearing jewellery is a feminine thing? Yes, your jewellery doesn’t have to scream out loud but a platinum ring can look classy.
Did that make you cringe? Well, if you have nothing against the gothic look, you might want to try this one. Billie Joe Armstrong, anyone?
Now that is something not just fashion advocates, but even what doctors would recommend. Don’t you seek to flash that 1000 watt smile sans a food speck stuck between your teeth?
Yes, imagining yourself in a lipstick most definitely made you cringe. And if that imagination was restricted to pinks, your ignorance is coming in the way of your makeover. The lipstick doesn’t have to be those girly pinks and reds, even a glossy lip balm would do the trick. And if you are confident that you can carry them off well, go for darker shades of lipsticks.
A powder puff will make you look fresh and if you are going to a place where the moisture on your skin makes it shine in a unsightly way, powder would work well to get rid of that shine.
10. Facial Hair Experiment
You couldn’t have got a better reason for a makeover. Your facial hair gives you a range of choices to transform your look. French cut or goatee or whatever looks good on you – go-ahead and sport that.
A makeover doesn’t require a large amount of time or money to be spent. What it does entail, however, is an adventurous attitude and the confidence to carry off that streak of adventure. So, go for it!
