Along the way are umpteen vendors selling fruit, vegetables and flowers in one of Bangalore’s oldest traditional markets — so full of character that I walk along in a trance-like state taking in the sights and smells. With our single-minded obsession driving us we finally make our way through tractors and people carrying produce frenetically, finding the king of fruits — mango in its complete splendour.
