Bollywood's most unusual screen couples

Bollywood has produced some staple on-screen couples that we love to watch sizzle on screen, case in point Shahrukh-Kajol. But the real challenge for a director is to break from the norm and go for some odd pairing to give much needed freshness to the film. Here’s a list of such odd-pairings, some which rocked and others that didn’t.

1. Abhishek Bachchan & Rani Mukherjee

Abhishek Bachchan is tall as a Giraffe, and it’s well-known that Rani Mukherjee isn’t one of the tallest actresses around. With a difference of almost a foot between the two, most filmmakers thought against pairing them. But once Mani Ratnam cast them in ‘Yuva’, they sizzled on screen with their crackling chemistry.
