Armani Hotel, Dubai

The first hotel from Giorgio Armani was always going to create a buzz. And the Armani Hotel Dubai’s opening in April proved to be worth the hype. Located in the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the 160 rooms and suites, designed by Armani himself, combine understatement with Gulf-style luxury. The Armani/Privé lounge is one of the hippest in town, and the hotel’s dining options cover cuisines ranging from Indian to Italian.

Maison Moschino, Milan

Maison Moschino, which opened in March, is inspired by the label’s quirky designs. Unexpected styling continues throughout what was once a railway station—paper clouds hang from ceilings and the corridors are inhabited by a flock of ornamental sheep. Eat at the hotel’s Clandestino Milano restaurant, where chef Moreno Cedroni continues the fashion theme in his menus. So, breakfast, naturally, is served in a shoe-box.

The Claridge’s, London

The Claridge’s hotel has played host to some of the world’s most high-profile guests since it opened in London in the 19th century. Its long-time guest, designer Diane von Furstenberg, has unveiled a set of suites and rooms revamped in her inimitable style. Diane enlisted the help of her friend and interior decorator Olivier Gelbsmann to unveil a riot of bold, colourful textiles and upholstery in trademark DVF prints.

Hotel Missoni Kuwait

After the success of its first hotel opening in Scotland last year, Missoni will soon unveil its next property, Hotel Missoni Kuwait. The hotel will have 169 rooms and 63 suites, an Italian restaurant, Cucina, a Choco Café with an outdoor terrace, and a Six Senses spa. All facilities will be decorated with Missoni’s signature designer motifs—colourful stripes and zigzags, including the pool tiled in rainbow colours.
