Ashok Leyland DOST, the first Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) from the Ashok Leyland Nissan joint venture, was adjudged the Apollo-CV ‘LCV Cargo Carrier of the Year’ Award 2012. The jury highlighted DOST’s fuel economy, versatility and higher payload as the winning attributes of the 2.5 tonner.
Receiving the award, Dr V Sumantran, Vice Chairman, Ashok Leyland and Chairman, Nissan Ashok Leyland Powertrain Ltd., said “Our team is grateful for this recognition. Our customers have reposed faith in the product, and in this launch phase, have been willing to wait a couple of weeks to take delivery. We hope this award will validate their trust and their patience. DOST has already become the No.2 Brand in its segment in the country, a true validation of our efforts to offer the Indian LCV customer a product that is best-suited for his requirements.”
Manufactured at the Company’s Hosur facility, DOST is currently sold in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan, through a modern dealership network established across the country. The Company is progressively ramping up production to the meet the increasing demand.
