The very first British girl power band, Spice Girls who formed in 1994 and shot to fame in the late 90's are re-uniting to promote a musical that is based on their songs. The musical is written by Jennifer Saunders.
The group posed for pictures on the very same staircase, at St Pancras Hotel in London that was featured in their debut album Wannbe. Looking at all of them together sure is a pleasant trip down memory lane.
All the girls Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Mel B were all smiles and it was a very re-assuring feeling to see the band together. The last time the group was seen together was for their reunion tour back in 2008. The quintet looked poised and sophisticated as they posed for pictures still retaining their girlhood charm and still having the ability to muster large crowds.
Their songs were all chart busters and seared everyone's hearts and they were truly a global phenomenon.
The musical is due to open at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End on December 11.
Melanie C also mentioned that there is a possibility that the Spice Girls might have a reunion for the London Olympics. Watch this space for more updates.
